Furiosa Prequel confirmed, plus George Miller's next sentence at MGM
The five year anniversary of George Miller's Oscar-winning blockbuster smash Mad Max: Fury Street is here and while Miller got around with a movie about Charlize Theron's Emperor Furiosa, it seems like he is finally developing the spin-off actively as a prequel. (Via Entertainment Weekly)

In an extensive oral tradition about the origin of Mad Max: Fury Street In the New York Times, Miller spoke about his plans for the future of the post-apocalyptic franchise that began in 1979, including the unveiling that he is now working on the long-discussed film about furiosa. The development of the project has been in progress since 2015. It was recently announced in March that Miller was meeting younger actresses to take on the role for a prequel setting, Anya Taylor-Joy (The new mutants).
He has now confirmed that Theron will in fact not repeat her role in the spin-off, but notes that he was considering bringing her back and using the digital aging technology that has become an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Captain Marvel and Ant man and the wasp before you finally decide to fill the role again.
The 75-year-old author / director is currently waiting to start filming his next project Three thousand years of yearning with Tilda Swinton (French shipping) and Idris Elba (Hobbs & Shaw), whose domestic distribution rights have just been acquired by MGM, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As soon as Miller is able to shoot and finish the project that has been canceled due to the global health pandemic, he next wants to shoot the Furiosa film.
Mad Max: anger Street that opened in May 2015 is the story of Max Rockatansky, played by Tom Hardy (Beginning, The dark knight rises). In this world of fire and blood, there are two rebels on the run who may be able to restore order. There is Max (Hardy), a man of action and a man with a few words who is looking for rest after the loss of his wife and child, and Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes that her path to survival can be achieved if she makes it through the desert back to her childhood home. A Crazy Max Prequel could show us her life at The Green Place before she started working for Immortan Joe.

Mad Max: Fury Street also played Nicholas Hoult (Warm bodies, X-Men: days of the future past), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Crazy Max, sleeping Beauty), Nathan Jones (Conan the Barbarian, Troy), Zoe Kravitz (Deviating, X-Men: First class), Riley Keough (The runaways, Magic Mike) and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Age of Extinction).
