Christina visited Leti at the Winthrop house and revealed that the money to buy it came from her. She told Leti that she was looking for the orrery, a mechanical model of the solar system. Leti told her to go as the deed was in her name, no matter where the money came from. Without Leti's knowledge, Hippolyta had taken over the orrery. She explained to a customer at George's shop that it wasn't working and that she couldn't figure out how to get the gears.
Later we saw Christina visiting the policeman who had questioned Leti in the traveling car. He was associated with the local Sons of Adam Lodge. Christina, however, challenged his membership in the Order. She mocked him for allowing Leti to own Winthrop House.
Titus & # 39; vault
Leti and Tic confronted Montrose with his knowledge of the sons of Adam. After George explained the statutes to him, Tic, Leti, and Montrose went to a museum in Boston where they believed that Titus' vault was located. They did need Hippolyta's car, however, so they brought her and Dee and Tree with them. They found that the entrance to the vault was in the Titus Braithwaite wing. They later broke in to enter the vault.
It was a dangerous journey through the vault, with boards gone, water rising, and doors taking tic's blood. They discovered a skeleton that transformed into an intersex Arawak woman named Yahima. Tic could understand them and he explained that Titus had used them and killed their people. He locked her in the safe. She refused to help Tic. When Tic took hold of the Titus pages of the Book of Names, the windows broke and water flooded in. They, including Yahima, escaped via an elevator, the same as the one at Leti's house. When Yahima tried to speak, she screamed. Titus had turned her into a siren when she left. Yahima settled in Leti's house, but when Montrose was alone with her, he cut her throat open.
At the museum, Hippolyta took Dee to the planetarium. She stated that as a girl she named a comet Heras Chariot as part of the competition. However, the attribution was instead given to a white little girl. When she and Dee drove home, Hippolyta was suspicious of how the others had made it back before them. Dee drew on the atlas and caught Hippolyta's attention. She saw Devon County circling on it. Hippolyta turned the car to get answers.
Ruby learned that the department store she wanted to work at recently hired a black woman for the first time. She sang in a bar but was in a bad mood. William, the only white man in the bar, paid her bill and invited her to spill her troubles. She explained her situation. Though she refused him, they went to the Winthrop house and slept together.
