As for his general feelings about Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Liam Neeson said that although "many fans and critics" dislike the film, he was "proud" of it. While The Phantom Menace saw Qui-Gon Jinn fatally stabbed by Darth Maul, Neeson appeared as a character in Attack of the Clones and The Rise of Skywalker and featured him prominently in three episodes of The Clone Wars.
