  1. Hall Of Fame for Mary Brockman aka Lady T.Teena Marie. She is way, way, overdue.Automactic Selection. After all those hits, after all this time..not one nomination for the R&R HOF? C'mon The Cars and The Beastie Boys in HOF before Teena? Straight Joke that's NOT funny😠😠 #TEENAFORHOF2020

  2. Damn they sang that shitt 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿💜💜💜 one of my favorite songs, there isn't a White woman that have yet in the music industry.. That have a soulful voice that can compare to Teena Marie. Who's still listening to Teena in 2020 👍🏿👍🏿

  3. Teena Marie was much badder than people know if they never saw her live. She played about 10 instruments, sang, danced, directed the band, and interacted with audience. She truly was a musical genius. Her daughter has a beautiful voice as well. However, God made only 1 Lady T 😓💞🙏🏽👏🏽!!

  4. This was the natural follow-up to "Fire and Desire" but, instead of featuring Teena with Rick James, it featured Teena with future Four Tops member Ronnie McNair. An excellent cut, which should have received the same promotion as "Fire and Desire" and Rick's duet with Smokey Robinson, "Ebony Eyes." Please also check out Teena singing ("Ooo Baby Baby") to Smokey Robinson.

  5. Mere words cannot convey my feelings for the undeniable raw talent of Teena Marie. I am a grown 59-year-old man who has been a fan of Teena since 1979 when she and Rick did "Fire and Desire and no one knew she was white. I love this woman. I miss her talent and her humility. She was not a diva or a fake in any way. Her music was the soundtrack of my life. Her ballads and love songs never failed to move me to emotional heights unlike almost any other singer ever. This magnificent performance by Teena and Ronnie is pure genius..As I sit here typing these words, I'm taken back to a time when I loved R&B music. The greats of music are gone. Music today is mediocre at best Teena's absence from the music business is a huge loss. Thank goodness for Youtube
