Jason Aaron rejected the popular decision that was being spoken about to reveal the character of Dario Agger, CEO of Roxxon Energy Corp and known in the Thor comics as Minotaur. His appearance definitely fits. He would follow in the footsteps of Michael Keaton – another Batman actor who came to the MCU to play a villain.
Dario Agger is of Greek origin and spent his childhood on a private island in the Aegean Sea before a group of pirates slaughtered his entire family. Dario is a child in fear and asks for help when the pirates chase him. Standing in a hidden cave in front of a bull statue, he was turned into a Minotaur and defeated the men, but he keeps them alive to continue torturing them.
As an adult, Dario used his family's fortune to secure an expensive education and became CEO of the world's most powerful energy company. He is careless of the environment, pollutes the earth, and pays lobbyists and lawyers to continue to do so and make more money. When Thor learns of Dario's environmental shame, they become enemies.
Once the god of thunder destroyed Darios factories and caused the CEO to build more on a floating island in the sky, which made the earth worse. Dario also tried to sue Thor. Does anyone else feel like it? It seems to be a contemporary story, especially when you consider that the issue of climate change is raised a lot. Chris Hemsworth just donated a million dollars to support the currently devastating Australian bushfires.
Still, it's just a guess by Jason Aaron right now, and we don't know enough about Thor: Love and Thunder to have any idea whether Minotaur could be considered for the fourth Thor film. Not to mention that the Ford is allegedly involved in "talks" against Ferrari actors and could just as easily drop out of the talks tomorrow.
Still, it's a cool dynamic for the franchise to explore the big screen with God of Thunder alongside the return of Tessa Thompson's Valykrie, Natalie Portman's Jane Foster / Mighty Thor and Korg from Taika Waititi. It would be almost a decade before Christian Bale last appeared as Batman in The Dark Knight Rises.
Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to be released on November 5, 2021. Would you be happy to see Christian Bale playing Minotaur? Vote in our poll below!
