On Monday, trader Joe announced plans to close his grocery and wine store near Union Square after an employee who had tested positive for coronavirus had worked a shift the day before.

According to an announcement on Trader Joe's website, this site was reopened to the public today after it has been “fully cleaned and refilled”. However, three other Trader Joe stores in New York City remain closed: one on 72nd and Broadway on the Upper West Side, where an employee diagnosed with COVID-19 worked on March 26th; and locations in Soho and Chelsea where employees tested positive for the virus after working on March 17.

Trader Joe’s has not yet announced any reopening dates for any of the other New York stores mentioned above. The supermarket chain had to close a total of eight locations in the USA, including two in New Jersey and one store in Plainview, New York.
